A study analyzing 140 Cleveland Clinic employees with low back pain found that a regular virtual yoga practice could reduce back pain and improve sleep quality. Participants were encouraged to participate in a weekly hour-long virtual hatha yoga practice for 12 weeks and to practice on their own. Those who did yoga saw their pain intensity drop 42% and reported a 51% improvement in daily activities. “Attending yoga classes in person can be challenging,” Cleveland Clinic’s Robert Saper said. He added that virtual yoga “can be a safe and effective therapeutic option.” (newser)
