The average American will attend three holiday gatherings, a survey of 2,000 adults found. 36% wish they were attending more gatherings, and 35% say it feels like they’ve been waiting a long time for the holidays. Most respondents will be attending Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner (79% and 73%), while only 17% expect to attend a Friendsgiving meal. Holiday guests are looking to be mindful: 44% will attempt to limit food waste, and 47% plan to take only what they need. “Holiday hosting can be so fulfilling but is also a ton of work,” Melissa Rakos of Chinet said. “Our goal is to help lessen that burden, helping people focus on spending quality time with guests.” (swnsdigital)
