A study of 2,000 full-time employees revealed that more than half of workers don’t always take lunch breaks. Only 36% take a lunch break daily, with 13% admitting to skipping it weekly. Nearly half of those who skip lunch eat at their desks, while 59% feel too busy to step away. Reasons for skipping breaks include feeling guilty (12%) or being distracted by colleagues (24%). The afternoon slump affects 59% of workers, with the lull typically hitting at 3pm.
