Two days before the summit, Warren received a call saying they would give him a new Ural motorcycle. After the summit, he was directed to an Anchorage hotel to pick it up, where Russian officials asked only to take his picture and interview him in return. Warren was initially skeptical, fearing he might be implicated in some “nefarious Russian scheme.” But he eventually accepted the gift, noting the motorcycle was manufactured just one day before the summit.
